Biography: Elizabeth Overcash is a third-year student at the University of North Carolina School of Law. She hopes to pursue a career in animal law, and her greatest accomplishment to date has been to found the law school’s first Student Animal Legal Defense Fund chapter, lead it as president, and institute an animal law class. Elizabeth is from Waynesville, North Carolina, which is located in the Blue Ridge and Great Smoky Mountains of Western North Carolina. She now lives in Whitsett, North Carolina, in a vegetarian household with her boyfriend and two dogs, Atticus and Indiana.
