Biography: I am from Chatham County, North Carolina, home of the best cheeseburgers and most authentic barbeque within driving distance of UNC. After growing up on our family's cattle farm in Silk Hope, NC, I followed in my father's footsteps to NC State University where I was a Park Scholar and heavily involved in Student Government and my sorority. It was a hard decision to travel down the road to Baby Blue country (though I reserve my real hatred Duke and Auburn), but the excellence of UNC School of Law and the Kenan-Flagler Business School made the landing a little softer. While juggling both law school and the MBA program presents challenges, I enrolled with the goal of better understanding the needs of future business clients and strongly believe I'm better prepared for those challenges. I love North Carolina, have the best dog in the state, and will take you down in Photo Hunt over a good bourbon any day.
Classes:
Fall – Banking Law, Business Transactions, Corporate Tax, and Evidence
Spring – Trial Ad, Securities Regulation, Family Wealth Management or Business Planning, and Intellectual Property
Areas of Interest: I enjoy ACC/SEC football (big NC State fan with a long-standing fling with Alabama), water-skiing and general boating activities, Pat Conroy books, and the occassional hot yoga class. When I'm not redecorating the JOLT office or baking for page proofs, I'm at home with my Lab, Cooper, and two of the most entertaining roommates I know (a journalism school librarian and a physical therapy student).
